This is a bathroom that was finished late spring early summer last year. This bath was taken down to the framing so that all the plumbing and light fixtures could be relocated. We removed the jet tub and small stand up shower and replace the tub with a very nice and large walk in shower. The shower area consisted of brushed bronze Kohler fixtures with body two sprays and a large head, a seat with areas to store essentials. The water closet was relocated to where the small stand-up shower once was.
The vainty was moved down to make room for a linen cabinet. The cabinets are red birch Candlelight Cabinetry in a Classic Square all plywood construction. The vanity and seat top is Silestone in the color Quasar with a white china sink. The tile is from Crossville, Inc. and is the NOW series with the floor being an 18x18 in rust color, and the walls are 12x24 in a sand color that continued up into the sky light, and a 6x6 diamond accent in the floor color with a listello strip seperating the colors.
This was the original bathroom in this 1901 home. It was in really bad shape and required a complete demolition and renovation. The sub-floor was rotted in several places and was two inches out of level from one corner to the other. We removed the sub-floor and rebuilt the joists in order to level and secure the structure for the new sub-floor. The existing tub was removed and the back wall of the tub area pushed back twelve inches into the ajoing bedroom gaining much needed space for the new bathroom.
All new electric including electric in-floor heat was installed. The old galvanized and cast piping were removed making way for new PEX and PVC plumbing. The customer chose a 12x12 marble tile for the floor, 4x4 marble tile, and 2x4 marble tile for the walls with a listello strip in the shower area. The fixtures are Delta with a stainless finish. The molding around the windows and door were custom milled to replicate the molding in the rest of the home. The vanity is Candlelight Cabinetry and the vanity top is Corian.
